On July 2, 1879 Cree Chief Lucky Man & Cree Chief Little Pine signed Adhesion to Treaty Six at Fort Walsh in the Cypress Hills.
This year, 2004, marks the 125th Anniversary of this historic event and a special commemoratory ceremony will be held July 2, 2004, beginning at 1:00 PM.

As part of this event, Fort Walsh National Historic Site of Canada invited school-aged children throughout southern Saskatchewan and Alberta to participate in its first annual Poster Challenge.
