Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is located on the border of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Just a short drive from the Trans Canada highway #1, the Interprovincial Park and Fort Walsh are accessible by three main access points.

TransCanada Hwy #1 Access Points:

  • Alberta: Follow Highway #41 South to the Park entrance (32km to Elkwater townsite - main service area)
  • Fort Walsh: Follow Highway #21 South to Maple Creek and Highway #271 South to Fort Walsh NHSC (64km from Hwy #1, 52km south from Maple Creek).
  • Saskatchewan: Centre Block Resort Area: Follow Highway #21 South to Maple Creek and continue on Highway #21 to the Park entrance (30km South from Hwy #1 to Centre Block - main service area)
  • Saskatchewan: West Block Wilderness Area (and Fort Walsh): Follow Highway #21 South to Maple Creek and Highway #271 South (54km from Hwy #1, 42km from Maple Creek).
