Any sites not reserved will become available on a first come, first served basis. All campgrounds in the Park can be reserved in advance. Trails Conversation Are you interested in improving the trails system in Cypress Hills Alberta? We are asking anyone that would like to provide input on what types the trails they would like to see visit www.mycypresshills.com where you can post ideas, send in GPS coordinates, maps, etc. This site is 'blog' style to encourage ongoing conversations about the trails in the park. CampgroundsCampground reservations are now open for both group camps and individual campsites. Please visit www.reserve.albertaparks.ca to book your site for the coming spring/summer. The following campgrounds remain open currently on a first come, first served basis until May 15: basic camping at Reesor Dock and near the Elkwater townsite, Elkwater Campground A and B Loops. As well, select sites in Elkwater C loop and Lakeview campgrounds are plowed and electrical services are available. The Lakeview showerhouse is open and cleaned for your use. Water has been shut off to the individual campsites, and the dump station is closed. VISITOR CENTRE open year roundPlease stop in for a visit!Visitor Centre Regular Hours of Operation:January 2, 2013 to April 30, 2013: Open Wednesday to Sunday 9:30am-5:00pm (weather and roads permitting); Closed Monday and Tuesday Beginning May, the Visitor Centre will move to spring hours with extended days and hours open. |

updated May 10, 2013 As of May 16, 2013 – all campgrounds in the Centre Block & West Block are open except Terrace campground which will open June 15, 2013 Saturday, May 18 Cougar Study presentation 3:00 pm at Resort at Cypress Hills – this is the final report from a four year study by research student, Carl Morrison on the cougars of the Cypress Hills Resort Accommodations The Resort at Cypress Hills is open year round with cabins, condominiums, and hotel accommodations, restaurant and convention facilities.
